Plaza Steel Trader

If you’ve ever been near the Sakinaka Metro Station, you know how crazy the traffic gets on the Main Road. Our place, Plaza Steel Trader, is right in the thick of it. We deal with a lot of steel pipes, rods, and sheets, and most of our day is spent loading these onto small tempos that struggle to move in the traffic. It’s loud here, between the metro overhead and the honking cars, but you sort of stop noticing it after a week. The warehouse is filled with the smell of iron and rust. We have to be careful with the inventory because steel is heavy and if you don't stack it right, it’s a big problem. I usually spend my mornings checking the delivery notes and seeing what needs to go out first. The workers are always moving, sweating through their shirts while they move long beams of steel from one side to the other. It’s a very physical business. We don't have fancy displays; it’s just rows of metal. Sometimes customers come in unsure about the gauge they need, so we show them the different thicknesses we have in the rack. By the evening, the floor is covered in metal shavings and we’re all ready to head home. It’s just a regular trading shop trying to keep up with the demand around this part of the city. There’s always more to do tomorrow.
