Our office for Phalna Shipping Agency is tucked away on the second floor of the Taghukul Textile Market. If you know the Ring Road area, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and people carrying bundles of cloth. We are right opposite the Vishwanath Hotel, which is a good landmark because everyone knows where to get lunch there. Shipping is a lot of paperwork and waiting for things to move from one place to another. We started this agency because there was so much textile work happening in Colaba and people needed someone to handle the logistics part of it. It’s not the cleanest office, we have files stacked up everywhere and the phone doesn't stop ringing during the day. Sometimes there are delays at the port or the trucks get stuck in traffic, and we have to explain that to the clients. It’s just how the business goes. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the routes and the paperwork required. Usually, the market is so loud that we have to shout a bit to be heard, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been at this address for quite some time, and most of the traders around here know us by face. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we keep things moving as much as we can.
