Pck Buderus (India) Special Steels Pvt. Ltd.

Our office is in Parasrampuria Towers, right on the New Link Road in Andheri West. We have units 61 and 62, which is where we handle the business for Pck Buderus. We work with special steels, which isn't the most exciting thing to talk about for most people, but it’s what we know. The office is a busy place, but not in a fancy way. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and stacks of paper everywhere. We have samples of different types of steel on the shelves, which makes the place look a bit like a warehouse sometimes. Getting to the office can be a real headache because the traffic on Link Road is some of the worst in Mumbai. We usually get in early just to avoid the worst of it. We are a small group of people and we’ve mostly worked together for a long time. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we just all pitch in to get the work done. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and making sure the steel gets where it’s supposed to go. It can be stressful when things are delayed, which happens more than we’d like. We don't have any mission statements or big goals posted on the walls. We just try to get through the day's tasks and make sure the numbers add up. Sometimes we order food in and eat at our desks while we work. It’s just a normal job in a busy tower with regular people.
