We operate out of Sukhram Nagar Cross Roads in Gomtipur, at 307/14. It’s a busy spot with trucks and carts moving all the time. Our day starts early, usually around six or seven, when we start loading up the boxes. Packing isn't as easy as it looks; you have to make sure nothing breaks and everything fits into the back of the vehicle. We use a lot of tape and bubble wrap, and there are always empty cartons stacked up against the walls of our office. The heat can be tough, especially when you’re carrying heavy furniture down three flights of stairs. My crew consists of a few strong guys who’ve been doing this for years. We don't have a big corporate office, just a small place where we keep the records and answer the phone. Sometimes the traffic at the cross roads makes it hard to get the trucks out on time, but we manage to find a way through the narrow streets. It’s a physical job and we go home pretty tired every night. Most of our work comes from people moving to a new flat or shifting their small shops to a different street. We just try to get their stuff from one place to another without losing anything in the process. It’s honest work, even if it is a bit messy and loud sometimes.
