Payal Sugato Thakur

Payal and Sugato Thakur work out of this space at 601, Kamal Sagar Soc in Kanjurmarg East. It is a quiet residential area for the most part, though you can hear the birds and the local traffic from the balcony sometimes. We have been in this building for a bit now, and most of the neighbors know us by name. It is not a massive corporate office with a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Instead, you just come up to the sixth floor and ring the bell. The walls are a bit plain, but we like it that way because it feels like home. Kanjurmarg East has changed a lot over the last few years with new buildings popping up, but Kamal Sagar stays pretty much the same. We handle our daily tasks here, mostly sitting at the main table with our laptops and a lot of tea. Sometimes the elevator is a bit slow, so if you are coming over, it is good to have a little patience. We don’t have big signs outside. It is just a place where we get our work done and try to keep things organized. Usually, one of us is around during the day, unless we have gone out for errands or to grab some lunch from the stalls nearby. It is a simple setup, nothing too flashy, just the way we prefer to run things.
