Living and working in Andheri East is always a bit of a rush. The school is right there in Sangarsh Nagar, tucked into the Chandivali area. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded these streets get. Every morning is a struggle with the traffic, trying to get to the gates on time. The building itself is big, which is good because there are a lot of students here. You can hear the hum of the city even when you’re inside the classroom. It’s never really quiet. We have to be organized just to keep things moving. The hallways are always busy with kids moving between classes, and the stairwells get quite a workout throughout the day. We don’t have much in the way of big open fields, but we use the space we have effectively. The staff room is usually a bit messy with stacks of papers and half-empty tea cups. We talk about the local trains or the price of vegetables more than anything else. It rains a lot during the monsoon, and the whole place gets that damp smell, so we spend a lot of time making sure the floors aren't slippery for the kids. It’s just a regular Mumbai school life. We deal with the noise, the heat, and the crowd every day. It’s practical work, making sure the kids stay on track while the city carries on outside the walls.
