Working out of Kurla East at Sewri Naka has its challenges, mostly with the commute and the sheer number of people around. Patwardhan Consultant Pvt Ltd is on the first floor of Wing A in the Golden building. It is on T J Road, at 101. The office is one of those classic Mumbai spaces where every inch is used for something. We have been here for a while, and the place has a certain character that you don't find in the newer developments. The windows look out over the street, so there is always something to watch if you take a minute to look. Inside, the shelves are heavy with folders and the computers are almost always humming. We do a lot of consulting work, which basically means we spend our time talking to people and trying to figure out solutions for their problems. It is not always exciting, but it is steady. We aren't the type to use big corporate slogans. We just tell it like it is. If a project is going to take time, we say so. The staff here is like a small family; we have been together through plenty of monsoon seasons where the water gets a bit too close to the door. We drink a lot of tea and work through our lists. It’s a busy life in a busy city, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
