Patel Metal Founders

Patel Metal Founders is located right near the Alankar Cinema on Ghodbunder Village Road. If you know the Girgaon area, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We have been working with metal for quite a long time. It’s a family thing, really. My father had the shop before me. The air inside is usually a bit heavy because of the melting and the molds we use. We don't have a big corporate team. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the casting. The floor is covered in sand and bits of scrap metal most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the parts we cast are solid and don't have holes in them. Sometimes the furnace gives us trouble, especially during the monsoon when everything is damp. We sit outside on stools when we take our lunch breaks. You can hear the noise from the road and the cinema crowds nearby. It’s a noisy place to work but we are used to it by now. We’ve stayed at this Girgaon location because it’s where everyone knows to find us. We don't have any shiny brochures or fancy sales people. If someone needs metal work done, they just walk in and talk to us directly. It’s simple that way. We've been at this same spot for years and don't plan on moving.
