If you go down to Magazine Street in Darukhana, you will find Paras Steel Corporation at number 126. This part of Reay Road is very industrial and the work we do here is quite heavy. We spend our days dealing with large pieces of steel and the sound of metal hitting metal is always in the background. It is a dusty environment, and our hands are usually covered in grit by lunch. The office is just a small corner partitioned off from where the actual iron is kept. We don't have any polished furniture or corporate decorations. It is just desks, ledgers, and a lot of paperwork. We’ve been at this spot for a long time because this is where the steel trade happens. Loading and unloading trucks is a big part of the daily routine. Sometimes we have to move several heavy beams just to get to the one size a customer is looking for. It is physical work that leaves you tired by the end of the day. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most of the people we deal with are regulars who know where to find us. We just keep track of the weights and the deliveries and make sure the trucks get loaded correctly. It’s an honest, basic business that doesn't need much more than hard work and a bit of patience with the heavy lifting.
