P. P. Overseas

You can find P. P. Overseas at 52 Keshrani Bhuvan on L. B. S. Marg in Ghatkopar West. If you have ever been on LBS Marg, you know it is always full of traffic and noise. It’s a very energetic and crowded part of Mumbai. Keshrani Bhuvan is one of those older buildings that has been around for decades. Our office is reached by a flight of stairs that are a bit on the narrow side. Inside, it’s a typical trading office setup. We have old wooden desks and shelves that are almost sagging under the weight of all the ledgers and files. It is not a very large space, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other. We spend most of our time on the phone or typing away at spreadsheets. There is a lot of noise that comes in from the street, but we’ve mostly learned to ignore the constant honking. We handle overseas trade, which means we are often dealing with different time zones and messages that come in late at night. It is a lot of hard work and sometimes things get a bit messy when we are in the middle of a big project. We don't have any modern design or fancy furniture. It is just a place where we come to do our jobs every day. The local tea guy brings us chai twice a day, which is something we always look forward to. It’s a very traditional way of working and we are used to the grind.
