Our business is located at 54, Hazrat Abbas (A.S) Street, though most people still call it Samuel Street. It’s one of those old Mumbai roads where the buildings are close together and the history is thick. We’ve been here as P Fidahusein & Co for a long time. The street is always full of trucks and handcarts moving goods around. It’s a bit of a struggle to get through sometimes, but that’s just the nature of this area. Our building is old, with high ceilings and walls that have seen a lot. We don't have modern decor or a reception area. It’s just an old-fashioned office and warehouse setup. We handle our business the same way it’s been done for years—through steady work and knowing our customers by name. There isn't any corporate polish here. We use old desks and the filing system is mostly paper. It might seem outdated to some, but it works perfectly for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy brand. We just provide what’s needed and keep the accounts straight. The air on Samuel Street is always a mix of different smells from the nearby markets. It’s a busy, gritty place to work, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s home for the business and part of our daily life.
