Oxford Steel

At Oxford Steel, we operate out of 74/56 Kumbharwada, right by the Nal Stop. Our office is on the first floor of the P C Building. It’s a bit of an old building, and the stairs can be a little steep if you’re not used to them. Kumbharwada is a very old and traditional area, mostly known for all the craftsmen and workshops. We fit right in there. Being on the first floor gives us a little bit of a view of the street, which is always packed with carts, bikes, and people moving materials around. The P C Building has a lot of history to it, and our space is simple. We have some heavy desks and a lot of ledgers. We still like to keep track of some things on paper because it’s just easier that way for us. The steel business is tough, and the competition around here is plenty, but we’ve managed to stay put at Nal Stop for quite some time. We aren't trying to grow into some massive international firm. We just want to keep the shop running and make sure our regular customers get what they need when they come by. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking the inventory in the back. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window, but we just put a bucket there and keep working. It’s just how it goes in an old building like this.
