Oriental Metal Works

Over in Bhandup, at Sakshat Studio 2, you will find Oriental Metal Works. It is a place where we get our hands dirty and work with various types of metal all day long. Bhandup is a bit of an industrial hub, so we fit right in with the other workshops and small factories in the area. The space at Sakshat Studio 2 is more of a practical workshop than an office. We have our machinery and tools laid out in a way that makes sense for the jobs we take on. It can get pretty loud when the machines are running, but that is just part of the job. We have been at this location for some time, and it serves us well for the kind of fabrication and metalwork we do. There is no fancy showroom here. If you come by, you will likely see us in our work clothes dealing with raw materials or finished pieces ready to go out. The floor is concrete and the walls are just plain, which is exactly what you need for a metal shop. We do not spend much time worrying about the decor. We just focus on the projects at hand and making sure the metal is cut or shaped correctly. It is a gritty, honest kind of work environment where we show up and get things done until the day is over. Sometimes the heat from the machines makes it warm, but we keep the air moving.
