Orchid International School

Orchid International School is situated in Jogeshwari East. We are at C 503 in the Rajeshwari Housing Society. It’s right on the JV Link Road. Being near the Majas Bus Depot means it is always noisy and crowded around here. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It’s a busy spot for a school. We have kids running around and teachers trying to keep things organized. It is a bit of a squeeze being in a housing society, but we make it work. Every morning is a rush with parents dropping off their children. We have been at this Mumbai location for a while now. The building isn't new, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time in the classrooms or handling things in the small office. There is always some paperwork to do or a parent to talk to. It’s not a polished private school like you see in movies. It’s a real place with real problems. Sometimes the fans don't work or the books are late. We just do our best with what we have. Our staff lives nearby mostly. We are just part of the local community here in Jogeshwari. Dealing with the traffic on JV Link Road is a daily struggle for everyone. But when the kids are learning, it feels like we are doing something useful. We just keep the gates open and follow the daily schedule. It’s a hard job but seeing the children grow up makes it worth it for everyone involved.
