Omkar Tea Oil And Soap Departmental is located in Borivali West, specifically in the Gorai 1 area. You can find us at 109/D 1 inside the Ganmurti House Society. We decided to name the shop after the three things we sell the most, which are tea, cooking oil, and various kinds of soaps. Of course, we are a departmental store, so we have plenty of other things on the shelves too, but those are our mainstays. The shop has a specific smell to it, a mix of fresh tea leaves and the scent of laundry bars, which is actually quite nice once you get used to it. Being inside a housing society means we mostly serve the people who live right here or in the buildings next door. It makes for a very friendly atmosphere because we see the same people every single day. We know who is moving out and who has a new baby. The shop itself is quite compact, so we have to be very careful about how we arrange our stock. Sometimes things look a little messy when we are busy, but we always know where everything is hidden. We don't have any interest in becoming a big chain. We just like being the local spot where you can grab a packet of tea or a bottle of oil without having to drive to a big mall. It is a quiet, steady way to make a living in Mumbai.
