Omkar Metals

Omkar Metals is situated at Shop No 52 A on Duncan Road. We are near the cross where Charni Road meets and close to Alankar Cinema. This area is known for its shops and there is a lot of metal work going on around us. Our shop is packed with materials and we don't have much extra room to walk around. It's a dusty environment but that is the nature of dealing with metals. We spend our days cutting, measuring, and moving heavy pieces. It’s hard work and it keeps us busy from morning until night. The cinema nearby brings in a lot of people so the street is never really quiet. We have been here for years and know most of the other shop owners on the block. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a functional space where the work happens. Sometimes the air gets a bit heavy with the smell of iron and grease. We wear old clothes because things get dirty fast here. There are a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We just take orders and get them done as quickly as we can. People come to us because they know where we are and that we’ve been here forever. It’s a simple life running a metal shop in this part of town. We just keep the gates open and wait for the next job to arrive today.
