We spend our days up on the second floor of the Muktidham building in Khar West. It’s room number 29/B, and it’s usually pretty quiet until the market downstairs gets going. Gokuldham Market is a busy place, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside our windows. Being near Filmcity Road means there is a lot of traffic, and we often see people heading towards the Satnam Sakhi Temple just a little way down. The office itself is mostly just desks, old files, and a few computers that have seen better days. At Omkar Consultants, we do work that mostly means sitting through a lot of phone calls and looking at paperwork all afternoon. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we don't go down more than we have to. Someone usually goes out to get snacks for everyone around four o'clock. It’s a simple setup we’ve had for a while now. We know the other people in the building, and we mostly just stick to our routine. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve looked this way for years. There’s no corporate vibe here at all, just a few of us trying to stay on top of the work and making sure the files are in the right place. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood where things haven't changed much for a long time. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
