Om Steels

Our place is up on the fourth floor of the Gulmohar Building, inside the Vishwa Sakar Society area in Mulund West. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, situated in Sarvodyay Nagar. When you walk in, you mostly see desks and piles of registers and folders because the steel business involves a lot of record-keeping. The windows look out over the society, and you can hear the kids playing or people walking their dogs in the evening. We spend most of the day on the phone or working through spreadsheets. It is not like a big showroom or anything like that. Just a simple office where we handle our business. Sometimes the lift in the building takes a while, so we end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry. The walls are plain, and we have a few chairs for whoever drops by to talk about orders. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the windows open. We have been here in Mulund for some time now, and the neighbors know us. It is just a regular office routine, dealing with the paperwork that comes with moving steel from one place to another. No big frills or decorations, just us working through the day. We have some tea in the afternoon and keep the files organized so we do not lose track of anything.
