Om Shiv Steel is situated at 88 Sewree Mantri Park. If you know the Sewree area at all, we are right opposite the Mahalaxmi Hotel. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where to get food around here when they are hungry. We deal with steel, which means our day is filled with the sound of heavy metal hitting metal. It’s heavy work, it’s cold in the winter months and very hot in the summer, and it’s just what we do. We have been at this Sewree location for a good while now. We see the big trucks coming in and out of the park all day long, delivering or picking up. Our space is filled with stacks of steel that we move around as needed with the equipment. It’s a very practical business. We don’t have much in the way of decoration or art. Just some old calendars on the wall and a few plastic chairs for when someone drops by to talk about an order. We know our regulars pretty well by now. We talk about the weather or the terrible traffic on the way to work. Working with steel keeps you strong, but it also makes you very tired by the end of the day. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We just supply the steel and try to keep things running smoothly without too much unnecessary fuss.
