Olympia Coffee House

You’ll find us right at the very beginning of Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, at number 1, in Colaba. It’s a great spot because we get to see everyone coming and going. We’ve been here for so long that we don’t even notice the noise of the traffic anymore. The building is old, with high ceilings that help keep the place a bit cooler when the Mumbai heat gets to be too much. We don't have fancy furniture or modern decorations. Everything we have is practical and has been here for years. We aren't trying to be the most stylish place in town. We just want to be a place where people can stop for a bit. We know a lot of the regulars who come in every single day at the same time. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Word of mouth is how people know about us. Sometimes we have to fix a leak in the roof or paint a wall, but we do it ourselves. It’s a small operation, just a few people keeping the wheels turning. Colaba is a busy place, and being at the start of this road means there’s always something happening right outside our window. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. It’s a simple way to live and work.
