Chandan Steel Ltd.

Chandan Steel Ltd. operates out of the fifth floor at Sudh Sagar, right on Plot No. 504. It’s a bit different being up on a higher floor compared to the ground-level workshops, but it gives us a decent view of the traffic below. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets, dealing with steel orders and logistics. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work, so we’ve learned to be patient. Our office is usually filled with the sound of typing and people discussing prices or delivery dates. Dealing with steel means things change fast, so we have to stay on top of the numbers. We aren't the type to wear suits every day; it’s more about being practical and getting the orders processed so the material gets to the sites on time. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks, especially at the end of the month. We keep a pot of tea going for most of the afternoon to stay alert. It’s a steady job, and we’ve built some good relationships with the guys at the yards. We don't make things complicated here. We just take the orders, find the right stock, and handle the details of getting it moved. It’s just us doing our part in the bigger supply chain, day in and day out, from our little corner of the building.
