Northern Metal Company

Northern Metal Company is based out of Salvi Bhavan, Building Number 25. We are located near the Gol Deval Temple, which is a big landmark around here. The area covers Charni Road, Dadar, and Parel—it’s right in the thick of things. It’s an old part of Mumbai with a lot of history. Our space is full of metal samples and heavy tools. It’s not the cleanest place because, well, we work with metal. There’s always a bit of dust or a scrap of steel on the floor. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The temple nearby brings a lot of people to the area, so it’s never quiet. We mostly deal with local builders and workshops who need specific parts. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you between tasks. The building, Salvi Bhavan, is one of those classic structures you see all over this part of town. It has a lot of character and thick walls. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the machines are loud and we have to shout to be heard over the noise. It’s hard work and the heat in the summer can be tough, but we’re used to it. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the metal is what it needs to be. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we don't mind the grime.
