Noorul Islam Urdu High School & Junior College

Noorul Islam Urdu High School & Junior College is located at Plot No 25/26 in the Govandi area of Mumbai. Being in the 400043 part of the city means we are in a very crowded and lively neighborhood. We have both a high school and a junior college functioning on the same site, so space is always something we have to manage carefully. The building is several stories high to accommodate all the students who come to us from across Govandi. It’s a busy place with a lot of stairs and narrow hallways that get very full between classes. We don’t have much in the way of a playground, as every square inch is used for classrooms or the small office. The teachers work hard to keep up with the large number of students we have on the rolls. It’s a practical, down-to-earth environment where we focus on getting through the syllabus and preparing for the board exams. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy lounge areas; we just have fans and the usual classroom setups. Mumbai is a fast-paced city, and our school is no different. The office is usually humming with activity as people come in for various documents or to pay their fees. We’ve been here for a long time and we’re just a regular part of the daily life in Govandi, doing what we can for the students every single day.
