Nitin P Mehta

Nitin P Mehta is located in Room No 107 of Loha Bhavan. This is right in the heart of Masjid Bunder West, near P D M. If you know the area, you know it’s one of the busiest places in Mumbai. We are very close to the Masjid Bunder Railway Station, so the sound of the trains and the crowds is always there in the background. Loha Bhavan is an old building, very sturdy, but you can feel its age when you walk through the halls. Our room is just a basic office space where we handle all our daily records and meetings. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the wooden desks have been around longer than I have. We get a lot of dust from the street because of all the trucks and loaders moving iron and steel nearby. It’s a tough area to work in sometimes because of the heat and the constant noise, but this is where the business happens. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. The chai here is strong, which helps when we have a long day of work ahead. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a photo or two. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but the hustle remains the same. We just do our work and head home when the job is done for the day.
