Nirish Impex Pvt. Ltd.

Our office is tucked away in Sahakar Bhavan on Narsi Natha Street, which if you know the area, is always crowded and noisy. Being at number 501 means we are up a few floors, away from some of the street noise but not all of it. Nirish Impex Pvt. Ltd. is basically where we spend most of our daylight hours. The hallway outside is narrow and sometimes the elevator takes forever, so we just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a lot of files stacked up on shelves that have seen better days. We do a lot of importing and exporting, so there’s always a lot of paperwork to sort through before the day ends. Sometimes we stay late because a shipment is stuck or someone forgot to send a document over. It’s a bit messy on the desks, especially when we’re in the middle of a big order. We usually grab lunch from one of the small shops downstairs and eat while we look at the computer screens. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We’ve been in this building for long enough that we know all the security guys and the other people working on this floor. It feels like a small community here.
