Newlite Fabrication Works

We are located in Kalina, right near the university area. It is a noisy place because we are always cutting metal or welding something together. Newlite Fabrication Works has been here for a while and we mostly handle whatever comes through the door. Some days it is a gate that needs fixing and other days it is a bigger frame for a shop or some window grills. The floor is usually covered in scrap bits and metal dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it out at the end of the day. It’s hot work, especially when the sun hits the tin roof of the shed. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in the back with the tools and the masks on. My brother and a couple of guys from the neighborhood do most of the heavy lifting. We use old machines that still work fine even if they look a bit beat up and greasy. Sometimes we run out of gas for the torches and have to wait for a delivery to arrive. It's just a basic workshop where we make things out of iron and steel. We don't do much talking, mostly just measuring and cutting things to size. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough to pay the bills. The university traffic makes the road outside pretty crowded in the mornings, but we stay inside and get on with the welding.
