Nazarali M Jivaji & Co

Our shop, Nazarali M Jivaji & Co, sits right on the ground floor at 116 Masjid. We are directly opposite the Central Bank of India, which makes it easy for people to find our door. We have been here for many years, and the shop has a lot of history in its walls. The floor is old stone and the shelves are made of heavy wood that has darkened over time. Every morning we open the doors and watch the street come to life. Masjid is a very busy area, and the bank across the road always has a line of people waiting. We aren't a modern store with bright lights and glass displays. Everything here is more traditional and practical. We have our regulars who have been coming to us for decades, and we usually know what they want before they even ask. It’s a slow and steady way of doing things. We don't use much technology; we still prefer writing things down and keeping physical records of our work. The air is often filled with the sounds of the local market and the traffic from the main road. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside the shop for a few minutes just to watch the people go by. It’s a simple existence, and we don't feel the need to change much. We just want to keep the shop running like it always has, serving the people who come through Masjid.
