Navratan Metal Corporation

Navratan Metal Corporation is located on the ground floor at number 5, Plot 25/33. We are right on the 1st Bhandari Street in the Kumbharwada area. If you know Mumbai, you know Kumbharwada is famous for its narrow lanes and metal shops. It’s a very crowded place where everyone is constantly moving something, usually heavy bits of copper or brass. Our shop is small and packed with metal stock, so there isn’t much room to walk around once you get inside. We spend most of our time weighing things, talking to buyers, and moving sheets of metal from one corner to the other. The noise of the street is always there in the background, with handcarts rattling over the stones and people shouting to get through the traffic. It’s a tough place to work because of the lack of space, but it’s also where all the action is for metal trading. We don't bother with fancy displays or anything like that; the metal is just there in stacks for anyone who needs it. Some days are slow and we just sit and wait for a customer, while other days we don’t even have time to eat our lunch. We’ve been at this Bhandari Street address for years, and we’re just another part of the busy life here in Kumbharwada. It’s not a glamorous job, just a way of life that involves a lot of lifting and hard work.
