Navdeep Steel

Navdeep Steel is sitting at 69 Kika Street in Gulalwadi, near Charni Road. We are on the 2nd Main Road East of NGEF, right near the Goldev Temple. This part of town is famous for steel and hardware, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops. The street is very narrow and usually blocked with carts and people carrying heavy bags. Our shop is packed with steel rods, pipes, and sheets. There isn't much room to walk around once we get a big delivery in. We spend our mornings checking the stock and talking to the regular buyers who come through. It’s a noisy place with the sound of metal clanging and the temple bells nearby. Sometimes it gets overwhelming with the heat and the crowds, but that’s Charni Road for you. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s just us, the steel, and a few fans to keep the air moving. We write everything down in big ledgers and try to keep track of who owes what and what needs to go where. It’s a traditional way of doing business, face to face mostly. We’ve been here long enough that people use us as a landmark. We don’t make big promises, we just show people what we have in the racks and let them decide. The days are repetitive but the people we meet keep it interesting.
