National Carrying Corp

Our office is tucked away in Building 36 at Sabira Manzil. If you are familiar with Masjid Bunder West, you know how crowded it gets around here. We are right near the Bismela Hotel, which is great because the smell of the food usually hits us right around lunchtime and makes us all hungry. National Carrying Corp has been handling stuff in this neighborhood for a long time. It’s a lot of lifting, moving, and checking manifests. The building itself has seen better days, but it serves us well enough. We don't have fancy furniture or a lot of space to spare. Mostly, it’s just boxes and ledger books. The street outside is always blocked with trucks and handcarts, so getting anything in or out takes a bit of patience. We’ve learned to be patient over the years. Some of the guys have been working here since they were young. We know all the shortcut alleys and which times of day are the worst for traffic. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We just close up the shutters, lock the big doors, and head home. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We don't really bother with big signs or advertisements. People in the market know where to find us if they need something moved. That’s how it’s always been.
