Itochu Corporation

Our office is located in the Free Press House, which is a well-known building on the 6th floor. We are right on Free Press Journal Marg in Nariman Point. This part of Mumbai is quite different from the rest, with all the tall buildings and the sea nearby. Being at Nariman Point means we are right in the thick of the old business district. It’s a bit windy coming off the water sometimes when you walk to the building from the station. Itochu Corporation has its space here, and from the sixth floor, we get a bit of a view of the street below, which is always packed with people in shirts and trousers rushing to meetings. The office itself is just a regular place where we sit and handle our corporate affairs. It’s not as fancy inside as the address might make it sound. We’ve got the usual rows of desks and a small pantry for tea. The Free Press House is an older building but it’s kept up okay. We spend our days here dealing with paperwork and phone calls. It’s a very functional environment. Nariman Point has a certain rhythm to it, and we’ve become a part of that over the years. We just keep things simple, do our hours, and head home like everyone else in the building. It is a steady way to work.
