Narendra Steel

Narendra Steel is located in the Virshi Umarshi Building, 13/21, over in Girgaon. We are on Azad Society Road, not far from Janata Bhuvan. It’s an old part of the city, and our building has been around for a long time. The air inside the shop always smells a bit like metal and dust. We deal with a lot of heavy steel, so the floors are a bit scuffed up and there are marks on the walls from moving things around. It’s a physical job. We spend our days measuring out pieces, counting inventory, and loading things onto trucks. It’s noisy because of the traffic outside and the sound of metal clanging together when we move the stock. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned office; we just have a small desk tucked into the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of the time, we are out on the floor or talking to the laborers and drivers. It can get pretty tiring, especially during the summer months when the building holds the heat. But we’ve been part of this neighborhood for years and we like the people who come by. It’s honest work, dealing with raw materials that people need for building and repairs. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the orders right and out the door on time. There is no room for mistakes when you are handling this much weight.
