Our place is down at Carnac Bunder, specifically at numbers 110 and 111. If you know the area, you know it's always crowded with trucks and people moving heavy stuff around. Dealing with steel and pipes means there is always a lot of loading and unloading happening. The air smells like old metal and the sea is not too far away. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things here. Flashy signs or a modern lobby aren't things you'll find at our gate. It is mostly just stacks of pipes and the sound of iron clanging together. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the counts are right. The office is just a small corner where we keep the books and take calls. Sometimes the traffic outside is so bad that the trucks get stuck for an hour just trying to reach the gate. Plenty of businesses have come and go in this part of town, but we just stay focused on the steel. It's not a quiet job, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. That’s just how distribution works in a place like this. We just open up in the morning, do the work that needs doing, and close up when the last truck leaves. It is a grind, but it is what we know how to do best after all these years. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can so nobody is waiting too long.
