We've been at Kumbharwada 47 for a good while now. It's a busy part of the city, and everyone around here knows the steel business. We mostly handle orders for local builders and small workshops. The place isn't fancy. There are stacks of steel everywhere, and it gets pretty dusty with all the traffic passing by. Sometimes the trucks block the narrow lane, and we have to move things around quickly. It’s just how it goes here. Most of us have worked in this area for years, so we know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers well. We don't have a big office or anything. Just a desk, some chairs, and the stock. People walk in, tell us what they need, we check the piles, and that's that. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. If you come by, you’ll probably see us unloading a delivery or writing out bills on the old wooden table. It's a simple operation. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Word of mouth is usually enough for people to find us. Kumbharwada has its own rhythm, and we’re just a small part of it. We keep track of everything in paper ledgers because that's what works for us. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving metal, but we’re used to it. That’s life at Nandini Steel. Just a bunch of guys working with metal every day, making sure things get where they need to go without too much fuss.
