Naik'S Brass & Iron Works

We are located at 67 in the Government Industrial Estate over in Kandivli West. It’s a big area with lots of workshops and factories. Our place, Naik'S Brass & Iron Works, fits right in with the rest of them. The sounds of machinery are constant here. You get used to the banging and the humming after a while. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess with metal scraps and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. It’s a busy environment where everyone is focused on their own tasks. We’ve been in this industrial estate for quite a while now. The building is sturdy, but it shows the wear and tear of years of heavy work. We usually have the big doors wide open to let some air in, though it doesn't help much when the sun is beating down on the roof. Most of the guys here have grease on their clothes by ten in the morning. We don't worry about being polished or looking corporate. We’re here to work with brass and iron, and that’s a dirty job. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a tight-knit group. Kandivli has changed a lot, but this industrial estate feels like its own little world. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, making sure the work gets finished on time and the day goes by smoothly.
