N K Collection

Our shop, N K Collection, is located at Sai Prasad Complex. We’re over near the Khar railway area, though the address says Parel, which can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here. It’s shop number 5. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood is always bustling with people going to and from work. Inside, it’s mostly clothes and various items we’ve collected to sell. We spend a lot of our time folding things and putting them back on the hangers after someone has looked through them. It’s a never-ending task, honestly. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever about how we hang everything up. We don’t have fancy lighting or those professional window displays you see in the malls. It’s just us and the racks of clothes. We usually have a small radio playing in the background to pass the time. The afternoon heat can make the shop feel a bit stuffy, so we keep the door open to get whatever breeze comes through the complex. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Mumbai. We’re just happy to have our little spot in the complex. Most of our customers are just people from the local area who we’ve known for years. We just take things one day at a time, selling what we can and keeping the place tidy.
