Down on Datta Mandir Road in Santacruz West, you'll find us inside the Bhatiya Glass Compound. We are at the Vikas Centre, specifically unit 104. It’s a busy part of the city, and our workshop usually reflects that. There’s always the sound of tools clanking or someone moving a vehicle around. We deal with cars mostly, but it’s a bit of everything that comes through the gate. The floor is usually stained with oil and there’s a distinct smell of rubber and petrol that never really goes away. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. It’s not the kind of place with a plush waiting room. You basically just stand around the workshop or wait outside by the road. We have a few guys who have been with us since the start. They know their way around an engine better than most. Sometimes parts take a few days to arrive, so we have cars sitting around for a bit. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations. The focus is just on the machines. Santacruz West has changed a lot, but this compound stays pretty much the same. It’s a bit of a maze getting in here if you aren’t used to the local turns. We stay busy from morning till late evening. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going. We just do the job and move on to the next one. There is no point in overcomplicating things when a car needs fixing.
