Multi Craft

Multi Craft is situated at 103/B on Kesarbaug Lane in Mulund East. This part of Mumbai has a bit of a different feel to it, maybe a little more relaxed than the city center, but Kesarbaug Lane can still get pretty cramped. Our workspace is small, and we have to be careful about how we stack our materials. We do a lot of different things here, hence the name Multi Craft. Whether it’s wood, metal, or some repairs, we usually have a go at it. The office part is just a small desk in the corner where we keep the bills and the phone. We don't have any corporate structure or fancy titles. It’s just us doing the work every day. People from the local apartment blocks often drop by with things they need fixed or small custom jobs they want done. We don't use any slick language to talk to them; we just tell them how long it will take and what it will cost. Sometimes we’re waiting on materials to arrive from the mainland, which can be a bit of a hassle with the traffic. We’ve been in Mulund for a good while now and know the local rhythms. It’s a basic setup, but it works for us. We enjoy the variety of the work and the fact that we aren't stuck behind a computer all day. We just keep the tools sharp and the shop open.
