Mukesh Steel (India)

Mukesh Steel (India) is located over at Shop No. 39 on Maruti Mandir Lane. Being in 5th Kumbharwada means we are right in the middle of all the metal trade action. You can hear the bells from the temple nearby, which is a nice break from the constant sound of steel bars being moved around. Our shop is not huge, but we make the most of the space we have. It is usually quite a mess with different sizes of steel tucked into the racks and leaning against the walls. We have been in this lane for a long time, and we have seen shops come and go, but we just keep doing our thing. The floors are concrete and always have a layer of dust on them, no matter how much we sweep. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or advertising. We think that if you do your work right, people will find you. Most of our days are spent loading up small carts or talking to customers who need something specific for a construction job. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the lane is narrow, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. But that is just part of being in Kumbharwada. We take things one day at a time and try to stay busy.
