Our office is located in the Mahada Complex over in Powai. We are in Building Number 4, Room 13. Being right on the J V Link Road means we are always in the middle of the Mumbai traffic mess, especially since we’re so close to L&T Gate Number 3. You can hear the constant drone of cars and bikes from our window all day long. The complex itself is quite large and can be a bit of a maze if you don’t know where you’re going the first time. Our room is just a basic workspace. We’ve got a few old desks and some chairs that have seen better days. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have visitors or extra files to store, but we make it work somehow. We chose this spot because it’s a central point for many of us to reach using the local buses. It’s not a shiny corporate tower with a marble lobby. It’s a government-built complex, so it has that very functional, no-frills atmosphere that we prefer. We spend our days handling the usual paperwork and managing the schedule for our projects. There’s a small tea stall just outside the main gate where we usually go when we need a break from the computer screens. It’s a very ordinary place to work, but it’s where we get things done. We don't need anything fancy or expensive to stay on top of our duties. We just show up and do our bit.
