Our office is at 198 Somji Building on North Brook Street. We are up on the third floor in Office Number 21. It’s one of those older buildings where the stairs feel a bit steeper every year when you're carrying things. North Brook Street is always crowded with people and trucks, so there’s a lot of energy right outside the door. Inside the office, it’s a bit more quiet, though you can still hear the city noise coming through the walls. We have a lot of steel samples and old catalogs lying around on the shelves. It’s just a few desks and some filing cabinets that we’ve had for a long time. We spend most of the day on the phone or tracking where the steel is going. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we know. Sometimes the elevator in the building doesn't work so we have to walk all the way up, which is fine until you have to carry something heavy. We know most of the other people in the building by now and we say hello in the hallways. We don't bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the business and making sure everything is moving along. We’ve been at this address for quite a while and it feels familiar to us. It’s just a regular office in a busy part of town where we do our work.
