Mo

Our shop is just called Mo, and we are located at No. 28 in Lohar Chawl. If you have ever been to Mumbai, you know this market is where everyone goes when they need hardware and electrical stuff. It is very narrow and always filled with people carrying heavy loads. We have a small storefront, but we keep a lot of different items packed inside. It is honestly a bit of a maze once you go past the front counter. We spend most of our time helping people find the right parts or checking our current stock levels. We do not have a website or any of those things; people usually just walk in or call us on the old landline. It is the kind of place where you know your customers by their faces because they have been coming here for years. We have stayed in this spot through many monsoons and plenty of summer heat. The building is quite old and has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit run down. We still use old-fashioned ledgers for some of our accounts because it is just easier for us to track things that way. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that stay on from morning to night. It is noisy outside with all the shouting and the horns, but that is just life in Lohar Chawl. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next customer.
