M.J. Scrap Corporation

Our office is located in the Milind Co-Op Housing Society building, right in Kalakunj Society over in Kurla West. It's a busy part of the city, and our spot at 21/B is usually full of activity. Dealing with scrap means there is always something coming in or going out. It isn't the cleanest business, but it's what we know. The yard area can get a bit cluttered with various bits of metal and old parts we’ve collected. We try to keep it organized, but things pile up fast. People from the neighborhood often drop by to see if we have something specific or to drop off their own junk. It's a local operation, and we've been part of this community for a long time. My uncle used to run things before I took over. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing we are here. Sometimes the neighbors complain if we make too much noise moving things around, so we try to be careful. The office is just a small room with a fan that squeaks and a few chairs for visitors. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the drivers who come in from all over. It’s just regular work, nothing special, but it keeps us busy from morning till night. We like it here though.
