Metro Steels

Our shop, Metro Steels, is tucked into the Shri Sadan Building on T.P. Street. Being on 6th Kumbharwada Lane means we are right in the heart of where things get made. It is a tight squeeze getting trucks down these lanes sometimes, but we have seen it done for years. The building itself is old, but it holds up. We deal mostly in steel, different shapes and sizes depending on what the local shops need. There is always the sound of hammers or grinding coming from somewhere nearby. It is a gritty part of town, but it is where the real work happens. Inside our space, things are organized as well as they can be, though there is usually a pile of offcuts in the corner. We do not have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our customers just tell us what they need and we go find it in the racks. We have been here long enough that we know most of the faces on the street. It is a community of people who work with metal. We do not spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of our business is done with a handshake and a piece of paper. It is simple, and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and handle the steel.
