Metro Steels

Metro Steels is located at Plot No. 168 in the Shri Sadan Building. We are on T.P. Street, specifically down the 6th Kumbharwada Lane. It can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't familiar with the lanes around here because they all start to look the same after a while. Our space is mostly taken up by heavy steel rods and sheets stacked against the walls. The floor is solid stone because it needs to be to hold all that weight. It’s usually pretty dark inside until we turn on the overhead lights, which flicker a bit before they stay on. My partner handles the orders while I deal with the loading and unloading. We don’t have any fancy equipment for moving the heavy stuff, just some old carts and a lot of muscle. The Shri Sadan Building is quite old, and you can see the history in the staircase and the heavy wooden doors. 6th Kumbharwada Lane is always narrow and crowded with other businesses, so getting a truck in here takes some skill. We don't do any big promotions or have a sales team. Most people find us because they need steel and someone told them we were down this lane. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours, but we’ve made a home for the business here and we plan to stay as long as the building stands.
