Metro Steel

At Metro Steel, things are usually pretty loud and busy. We are based at Shop No 486 in the Gulabh Shah Estate area of Kurla West. The address is a bit funny because it also mentions the 4th Block of Koramangala and the 100 Feet Inner Ring Road, which confuses some people who are trying to find us for the first time. Anyway, we are mostly dealing with steel and heavy materials all day long. The shop floor is always covered in bits of metal and the smell of iron is everywhere. It is a tough job and your clothes get dirty pretty fast, but that is just part of working with steel. We spend most of the day loading things, measuring pieces, and making sure the orders are correct for the people who need them. Kurla West is a gritty place but it is perfect for a business like ours. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace where the real work happens. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting through the traffic on the Inner Ring Road, so we have to plan things out carefully. We have a small team and everyone knows their role. We just get on with it and try to finish the tasks on the list. It is not glamorous but steel is important for everything and we like being the ones who supply it.
