Metro Metal Ind.

Metro Metal Ind. is located at 51, 1st Carpenter Street. It is a very busy spot near C. P. Tank. We have been on the first floor of Kapole Niwas for a while now. The stairs are pretty narrow, but we manage just fine. Most days it is just us handling metal parts and making sure the orders are right for the people who come in. There is always a lot of noise outside from the street traffic. We do not have a fancy lobby or anything like that here. It is just a workspace where we get things done every day. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and talk. People around here know us by name. We deal with all sorts of metal items. It is a lot of lifting and moving things around the floor. The neighborhood is crowded, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out. We have seen a lot of shops change around here, but we stay put in our same spot. It gets dusty, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We keep our ledgers by hand and take calls all day long. If you come by, you will probably see a few of us drinking tea near the window. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a regular metal business in an old building. (227 words)
