Metal Plus

We run Metal Plus from Shop No 8 in Swapna Bhavan. This is in the New L part of Tata Nagar in Andheri West, right across from the Crystal Point mall. We have been here for quite some time now. Our shop is full of metal hardware, tools, and different types of iron and steel pieces. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we have so much stock piled up. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling. I have worked here for a long time and I know exactly where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to anyone else. The traffic on the road outside is almost always heavy, which makes it hard for trucks to unload our supplies. We get all sorts of customers, from big contractors to people just looking for a few screws to fix a door at home. Sometimes people ask for specific metal grades that we do not have, so we have to track them down from our suppliers. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around on the floor. We do not bother with websites or social media. People in the neighborhood just know we are here. We keep all our records in a big ledger book. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We open the shop early in the morning when the laborers are starting their day. It is a dusty and loud environment.
