Our shop is right in the Fort area, in the Pannalal Building on Bora Bazar Street. It’s directly opposite the Jain Mandir, which makes it easier to find if you're wandering around. The street is always packed with people and carts moving back and forth. It’s a very old building, so the stairs are a bit narrow and the ceilings are high. We work with metal here, mostly smaller pieces and custom parts. There’s a constant sound of hammering or grinding coming from the back. We have a lot of old tools that have been passed down. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so much stock and scrap metal tucked into every corner. We don't have a big fancy storefront. Just a sign and a door that’s usually open. We spend most of our time at the benches. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, but we keep the windows open. We know the other shop owners on the street quite well. We often share a cup of chai in the morning before the rush starts. It’s a very traditional way of working. We don't use much software, mostly just paper notes and sketches. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in some soot or metal shavings. It’s just how the work is. We like being in this part of the city. There’s a lot of energy and history in these old streets.
