Merrill Lynch

Our office is on the 5th Floor of Prism Towers, which is located in the Mindspace area of Goregaon, Mumbai. This is a massive building and a very busy part of the city. Merrill Lynch has been operating from this floor for quite a while now. Even though it is a big name, the actual day-to-day on the 5th floor is just regular people sitting at their desks doing their jobs. Ashish Mishra is one of the folks you might find working here. Mindspace is always crowded with people from all kinds of different companies, so there is a lot of energy in the air every day. We have a view of the other towers and the traffic below, which never seems to stop in Mumbai. The office is pretty standard for a place like Goregaon—lots of cubicles and meeting rooms and coffee machines. We do not really go in for a lot of internal fluff or motivational posters. We just focus on the numbers and the tasks at hand. Getting to work involves navigating the Mumbai local trains or the heavy traffic on the highway, so by the time we get to our desks, we are ready to just sit down and get to work. It is a professional space but not overly stiff. We talk about the cricket scores or the weather just like everyone else does. It is just a workplace in a big city, trying to keep up with the pace of Mumbai 400064.
